SCOOBY
DOO
(update)
Hi everyone, its me, Scooby Doo!!!!
I have been at my forever home for a whole year now!
Can you believe it!!!! January
27, 2001 was my one year anniversary.
I
am SO happy here. I have
everything any doggie could want! I
have lots of toys, and bones, and chewys
.and, I know my mommy loves
me. She tells me all the time.
I
also live with my other sisters and brothers.
Jitters is my sister
She is almost 6 years old.
We play together all the time, well, almost all the time.
If Im not playing with her, then Im playing with Pepper
Blue; we run all around the house, and all around the yard.
And, mommy just smiles at us
.even when we get too rough.
Thats when something gets knocked over, or something spills.
China Blue and Pepper Blue are my sister and brother.
They are also puppymill rescues.

I
also just lost my older brother Gizmo.
He was almost 12 years old.
Mommy cried, and I helped her.
I kissed away her tears. I
was sad, too. We ALL were
sad.
My
mommy says I am doing SO well. She
always tells me she is proud of me.
I go potty outside all the time
and I dont have what she
calls separation anxiety anymore
..cause I know when she
leaves, shell ALWAYS come back!
I am learning to walk on a leash better.
I HATE those things. Sometimes,
when we go for our walks, I still get scared to go too far from home,
but, when I first came to live here, I wouldnt even go off the porch.
So, mommy says Im doing much better.
When mommy takes Jitters and me for a walk, Ill walk longer.
Jitters helps me feel safe. Jus
like my mommy does. I
ALWAYS feel safe when she is home.
She lets me sit with her, and she says Im her shadow!!!!
AND she LOVES me being her shadow.
When
people come to visit, I sit with them now.
I dont run anymore. I
LOVE when people visit, cause they play with me
.and I LOVE to
play!!! I play all day long
with all my toys!!!!
I
still go to work with my mommy. She
says I help her with her job. She
is a Psychologist, and when she has people who are sad, they ask her,
Wheres Scooby Doo?!!! That
makes me feel SO good that I can help my mommy help these sad people.
Especially
the kids who were abused. I
KNOW what thats like, cause I lived in those awful puppymills.
So, when my mommy tells them I was abused, the kids sometimes
cry, and ask why, and my mommy says, its just not fair
.not
fair that children are abused, and that doggies like me are abused.
Well,
Jitters wants to go play, and Pepper Blue wants to play
.China Blue is
sleeping right now, so, I am GOING TO PLAY!!!!
Michelle
Bender, I STILL love you!!!! AND
I am so glad you found me my forever home!
Hey,
do you know I got to see Michelle last summer?
When Pepper Blue came home, my mommy drove to Michelles and I
went with her. I was SO
happy to see Michelle!!! She
said I looked GREAT!!!!!
Thanks
Michelle!!!!! Thanks
EVERYONE for finding the best forever home!!!!
Love,
Scooby Doo

Hi,
My name is Scooby Doo. I am a l year, 9 month old l3
pound Yorkshire Terrier.
Three weeks ago I came to live in my forever home with
my mom Anita, and my older brother, Gizmo, and my older sister,
Jitters. I wasn't really sure it would be my forever
home, and sometimes I still worry, because I have been to so many different homes, that I'm still scared sometimes.
My mommy tells me every day that this is my forever
home, and that she loves me. She even loves me when I do "doggie things" like, poop in the house.
Before I was here, I was in a wonderful foster home,
with a loving foster mom. Her name is Michelle Bender. I thought she would be my forever mommy, but she said that even
though she loved me a lot, and I know she still does, that I would be better with Anita. I still miss Michelle. She was the
first person who ever loved me. Before Michelle rescued me, I lived in
this awful place called a puppymill. I lived in a cage all the time, and
boy was I scared and lonely. I never could play. I hardly ever ate, and
it was never warm. I hate to think about that bad place, so let me tell
you about my good life now.
I get lots and lots of hugs and kisses every day!! I
never thought anybody could get this many hugs and kisses! I have my own bed, and my own teddy bear, and my own chewy toys.
I can run in the house with Jitters, and run in the yard outside.
It's fun here.
My mommy is a Psychologist. She works with abused
children and women. She says I am her "special helper". She
works at home most of the time, and once she even took me to
her office! The kids that come there are so sad sometimes. They had bad things happen to them. I know what it feels
like to have bad things happen. One day, this little girl was asking my mommy where she got me. (I think she liked me, because
she was playing with me, and hugging me.) My mommy told her I was abused, and she rescued me. Do you know what
happened next? This poor little girl started crying, and she told my mommy more bad things that happened to her. I can't
stand to see sad kids, so I gave her a big "Scooby Kiss." She
said she was sad because bad things happened to me, and
it's not fair because I'm a doggie, and I can't talk. My mommy told her it was sad that bad things happened to her, and
that wasn't fair either. This little girl hugged me and said -
"Scooby, it will be O.K. You are a good boy." And my mommy
told her she was a good girl. Now I have a very special friend. She is 7 years old, and when she comes to see my mommy,
she always wants me to sit with her.
I am so happy Michelle rescued me. I wish all the dogs
at that bad puppymill place had a nice warm place with people to love them to live in. They shouldn't have to suffer
anymore, either.
Anita, Gizmo, Jitters, and Scooby
