Jasper Bear

Hey everyone, Jasper Bear here.  For those who don't remember me, I went to my forever home over 4 and a half years ago.  I'm no spring chicken anymore, but I'm still enjoying life.  Not much has changed, except I'm completely blind now.  But hey, I get around pretty good still.  I've got where everything is memorized pretty good, so I don't bump into things (except when a dog is in my way).  I did walk into a glass door a few weeks ago... how embarrassing!  Now I won't walk through the sliding glass door anymore, I make mom pick me up and put me outside.  Maybe one day I'll work up my nerve and try again.  Mom hopes so, but I'm not sure.  I have a slight heart murmur, but it's not getting any worse and the vet isn't too concerned.  I still love pup-eronis, laps, and soft green grass the best of anything.  I also love long slow walks.  Y'know, the kind where it takes about 45 minutes to walk a quarter mile.  That way I get to take my time and sniff every single blade of grass.  Hey, I'm making up for those 9 loooong years in the mill.  I still don't like it when people move too fast around me, but nobody hardly ever does.  And when they do my mom tells 'em to slow down.  Then I'm not scared and they can pet me.  Did I mention I love to be petted?  I even let kids pet me now, but only sometimes.  Anyway, I haven't updated you all on my wonderful life in a while, so I thought I would.  I wanted to attach pictures but the email keeps getting bounced back.  Mom's working on that (but not very successfully).  Hugs and licks to everyone!
