Here is
Figgy, our PMR puppy. He came to live with us on January 29, 2000. He
started his trip from Gail's house in southern Missouri with Karen
January, who brought him to Kansas City. Sara and Darcy drove 6 hours from
Minnesota to meet him there. The roads were bad and it was snowy and icy.
Sara and Darcy took turns holding Figgy as he was scared. From Figgy - My
sister Isabella came along to help me feel more at ease. Sara and Darcy
drove 765 miles that day, but when I got to my forever home, I knew it
immediately. Sara carried me into the house and Darcy followed with my
crate. We went in through the front door and out through the back. When
Sara put me down, I immediately ran all over this back yard. It was dark,
but I could tell I am going to like it. After I did my business, we all
went to bed. I slept in the bedroom in my crate all night long. I was so
tired, I did not make a sound.
The next few weeks have been so fun. I live with another brother, Otis,
and 3 sisters, Isabella, Sadie and Whitney. I love them all. I have
learned that I can leave my toys laying around as no one takes them. I
don't have to hide anything in my crate as it is always there for me. I
love to play tug of war with Isabella and Otis. I am getting used to
riding around town in the car and visiting Sara at work in the nursing
home. The people there like me, and say I am different looking, but cute.
Everyone says they have never seen a dog that looks like me. I love my new
home and brother and sisters, but this Minnesota weather will take some
getting used to!!! Sara and Darcy are always telling me I am too smart and
such a good boy. I have never done anything bad in the house and I listen
well when they call me. This is going to be a great life!!!
