Happy Third birthday Bailey

Hi Linda,
Bailey celebrated his 3rd birthday on Monday! Here are some pictures of him over the past month or so. He's been on vacation to Maryland and Cape Cod and enjoyed his first time running in the sand. He pretty much goes everywhere with me and Sammy during the day - I have a carrier for him that he absolutely loves (if he sees me get it out of the closet he starts jumping up and down & wagging his tail 100 mph!). Enjoy and please feel free to share the pics. Hope all is well with you.
Eileen :)

BEFORE

Our little angel is doing so well! I am sorry I didn't
write sooner...I was planning on it but the days have
been very busy since Bailey arrived (that's what we
ended up naming him) and other than writing to Celeste
on Sunday night to let her know we got home ok, I
haven't turned on the computer until just this
morning.  He is adorable!  He was so good on the
flight back from Minneapolis...he slept in the carrier
which I held on my lap for the entire flight.  He
earned a set of wings from the flight attendants!  And
even got his picture taken with them!  He is adjusting
perfectly.  He's my little shadow.  He loves to cuddle
and is making lots of furry friends in the
neighborhood.  Right now he is sleeping next to me on
the floor.  Speaking of sleeping, he is a great
sleeper.  Other than the first night when he told us
emphatically with is whines and cries that he doesn't
like to sleep by himself, he is doing well at night.
He sleeps in our bedroom and we have a routine
now...he falls asleep in his little bed with his
blanket and then around 4am he seems to wake up and
want to come up in the bed...so we let him.  He sleeps
soundly between mine and Ted's pillow until 9:30!  He
has only had 2 pee-pee mishaps which is amazing...and
both have been on the wood floor downstairs so very
easy to pick up!  He went shopping all day with my mom
and me on Monday in a little carrier than I strap to
my chest.  He loved looking at all the sales!! :)  He
went to the vets on Monday and she did a very thorough
exam.  He did have a little ear infection in his left
ear but the drops seem to be helping already.  She
said that he doens't need to have his little 1/2 leg
removed unless he chews on it and causes open sores,
infections.  But she said that they tend to see that
happen more in dogs where they had to have their leg
amputated vs. being born with a 1/2 leg.  So that is
very good news, especially since he does use that leg
quite a bit to lean on when he is standing still.
It's been a lazy day for both of us so far.  But I
think we will take a walk around the block soon as it
is gorgeous outside and I think he'll love the fresh
air.  I have some film that should be back to me next
week, so I will send pictures to you and Celeste.
Take care and we will definitely keep in touch.
Thanks so much for everything!  Bailey has brought so
much joy into our lives already!
